Work in Progress - Three-toed Sloth

Iím four days into my latest illustration, a Three-toed Sloth based upon a photograph I took in Costa Rica a few years back. This illustration is a little more involved than some others Iíve done because of the dark background elements. Sloth hair is also difficult to draw, as the hairs are long and go every which direction. Basically, itís an animal covered in cowlicks.

Weíre coming into the busy season for biological consulting. That said, you should still regularly see updates on new illustrations added this site, as Iíve decided to put a focus on my scientific illustrations outside of the consulting work I do.
